Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 18-135mm f1:3.5-5.6 G ED Zoom Lens in excellent condition with both lens caps, lens hood and UV lens filter. AF and manual focus work fine, but I want to add a note to the buyer – this and the other lens of this type that I own both exhibit a looseness in the manual focusing. Other Nikon lenses that I own have hard stops when focusing manually, once you hit an extreme the focus ring won’t move any further. Both of my 18-135 lenses have “soft” stops, you can feel with your fingertips when you have hit the focusing extremes, but the focusing ring will move past those stops without a lot of effort. Like there is some slippage between the underlying mechanical focusing ring and the rubber ring that surrounds it. I presume all of them do this or I bought the only two lenses that do this. It doesn’t affect performance, or focusing, it’s just disconcerting if you’re not used to it.One review claims it’s due to “Real anytime instant manual focus override. Just move the focus ring,” citing Ken Rockwell. Anyway, I bought an 18-200 VR lens as my hands are getting a little shaky so the other 18-135 will also be available for sale soon.
