Rare Middle Sepik Hand carved figure

Said to be from Yambon Village, Latmul, Papua New Guinea.

Middle Sepik Region of West Papua.

Hand Carved Squatting figure. Very heavy hardwood. Wonderful Graining

Previously very dangerous head-hunters, they have become civilised and express themselves through their art.

Weght,          Approx   2600 gms

Condition is very good. no visible damages. May be a couple of natural cracks along grain.
