CTEK guarantee conditions

The manufacturer CTEK gives the original buyer of this product a 2-year manufacturer's warranty. The guarantee is granted from the date of purchase by:

• The guarantee applies throughout Europe.
• This Limited Warranty is non-transferable.
• The statutory warranty right (liability for defects) is not restricted by the guarantee.
• The guarantee applies to manufacturing and material defects.
• The guarantee is only valid within the guarantee period.

A product is defective only if the product does not conform to the applicable product specifications specified in the product's user manual or if the defect is due to defects in materials or workmanship. The guarantee becomes invalid, or does not apply for:

• Products that have been opened (incl. a broken seal), intentionally damaged or otherwise modified or altered.
• Products that are not from CTEK or repaired by its authorized representatives.
• Products used in conjunction with consumables or accessories not approved in writing by or supplied by CTEK.
• Improper use or failure to comply with the instructions for installation, commissioning, operation or maintenance (ie not in accordance with the operating and installation instructions).
• Unauthorized modifications, changes or attempted repairs.
• Vandalism, destruction caused by external influences and/or people/animals.
• Failure to comply with applicable safety standards and regulations.
• Defects caused by fire, water, snow, moisture or other liquids not specified for normal use.
• Products whose serial number has been obscured, altered or removed.
• any use of the product that is not in accordance with the design of the product or does not correspond to the intended use specified by CTEK.
• any installation and/or modifications that prevent the product from being used as intended.
• normal wear and tear and minor damage such as: B. (but not limited to) corrosion, scratches, dents, rust, stains and non-functional parts such as: B. (but not limited to) plastics and coatings.
• Damage, errors, failures or defects caused by misuse, tampering, illegal use, negligence or overuse. Or errors otherwise caused by the customer/user.

Complaints sent directly from the end user to CTEK will not be accepted. Products sent directly to CTEK will be returned to the sender at their expense. If the warranty claim for a defective product is not recognized by CTEK, a return will only be made if this is expressly requested by the customer via the point of sale. In this case, the customer must bear the transport costs. Once the warranty period has expired, the product will be scrapped without further investigation. Or returned to the sender at their expense.

In the event of a warranty claim, the defective product must be submitted to the point of sale together with proof of purchase and a description of the defect at the customer's own expense:

Defective products will be repaired or replaced with an equivalent product at CTEK’s expense. Defective products and those deemed irreparable will be scrapped by CTEK. No warranty other than that set forth herein is provided and in no event shall CTEK or the Seller itself be liable for any indirect failure or consequential damages. Furthermore, CTEK SWEDEN AB is not obliged to provide any guarantees other than these.

CTEK reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions stated herein without prior notice due to changes in the availability of services, products and/or spare parts or for the purpose of complying with applicable guidelines, rules, regulations and laws, to modify or change.
