The watch was made between 1830 and 1850 from my research and the case was professionally tested with an x-ray machine to be 31% gold which is approximately 8 karat gold the case has a couple very minor dense and has to be carefully closed and opened by pushing the crown it is old and is not as tight a case as it was when it was new although it is functional.
