7½" top diameter x 7½" tall vintage, handmade container. I have seen this type of item listed as 2 uses. I have seen it listed as a grain measuring container and I have seen it listed as a temple basket. Maybe it is both? I don't want to misrepresent this item but it does seem useful. I found a shred of evidence of its prior use, an onion peel inside. This would certainly make wonderful onion storage. I think most likely it was originally used to measure rice in a market setting. The bottom is not completely flat but it sits straight. It could also make a nice planter. Nice wear. There is 3 symbols engraved on the front. From South India. Condition is very good. Some chipped paint. Light wear. I have not tried to clean this piece. In found condition.  Please see all the photos carefully and feel free to message me with any questions. Thank
