Content & History: This
is a photograph of Ellen M. Jackson with her diploma. Louisville Colored High
School (later Central High School) was opened in 1870 and was the first
African-American high school in the state of Kentucky.
Condition:
Noticeable surface wear, soiling and discoloration. There is some crusted paper
at the top corner of the photograph. The mount has worn/chipped corners, is
curved. See pictures.
