PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Here's an extraordinary alto recorder by Cahusac, one of the most important instrument makers of the classical period. Instrument dates to circa 1750 and is in overall excellent condition with minor cracks in the bell and some damage to the fipple.

Provenance: The Historic Collection. This is from the collection of a well-known researcher and historian of woodwinds who spent a lifetime collecting rare and unique instruments. We are privileged to offer items from this collection for sale.

As this instrument is historically interesting we have chosen to not do restoration work on it and leave that to the eventual owner.
