HIT LIST Volume 1, Number 1

US Magazine Feb/March 1999. Berkeley, California. A4, colour cover, 130 pages

Hit List was started by former MRR writer/columnist Jeff Bale, and eschewed the latters' politics and scene reports, concentrating on music instead. Recruiting a heavy weight line up of columnists, amongst them Al Quint (Suburban Voice), Claude Bessy (Slash), Vic Bondi (Articles Of Faith), Frank Kozik (Man's Ruin), Johan Kugelberg, Rev Norb, Jack Rabid, Winston Smith, Ben Weasel and Tesco Vee. I never kept up with this, but maybe of interest to some: too many columns and record reviews for me. Flicking back through the first two issues, there's some inevitable beefs with Maximum Rocknroll and a preference for the more "rock & roll" side of Punk
