A&W Geib Philadelphia Boxwood Clarinet in C Circa 1820 HISTORIC COLLECTION

Here is an A&W Geib clarinet in C. A&W Geib were early American makers of fine instruments and this is an  excellent example of a clarinet in C from circa 1820.  Instrument is in overall good condition with no cracks, but it will need pad work to be playable. A great piece by an important American maker.

Provenance: The Historic Collection. This is from the collection of a well-known researcher and historian of woodwinds who spent a lifetime collecting rare and unique instruments. We are privileged to offer items from this collection for sale.

As this instrument is historically interesting we have chosen to not do restoration work on it and leave that to the eventual owner.
