This is an Official DC Comics Production Staff ONE OF A KIND original colorist art color guide page used in the direct production of the 1985 SUPERMAN issue 409 comic book. The DC Colorist for this 1980's Man of Steel issue was Gene D'Angelo, and the story featured action adventure packed art by Kurt Schaffenberger and Dave Hunt.

This color guide art measures about 11 inches by 8 1/2 inches, which is common for colorist's art. DC's Staff couldn't have produced the actual published comic book without this color guide art production page.

NOTE: Color guides/colorist's artwork are re-sized copies of the pencil & ink original artwork that are assigned to the issue's colorist, and then hand colored by that colorist. Colorguides measure about the same size as the published comic book, and some have "color codes" for the printers to follow. Computer coloring has made hand painted colorist artwork extinct, but highly collectible and displayable. P510185.
