Lovely antique Victorian era pickle castor by Simpson Hall Miller Co. The castor is Quarduple Plated and features a beautiful, amber colored pressed glass jar.

"Quadruple Plate," or quadruple silverplate pieces were four times as heavily plated with silver than items marked "Standard" silverplate. Quadruple silver pieces are not plated four times, but simply had four times as much pure silver, known in the industry as .925.

The castor is marked with the makers mark. "Simpson Hall Miller Co" and "Quadruple Plate" also "106"

Measures 12.5”H total height - to the top of the stand.

Condition:

Please note that the castor does not include pickle forks. Comes with:

• A stand
• A glass jar
• And a lid.

Typical scratches and use marks. Patina on the silverplate. I didn’t notice large dints. just minor small imperfections. There is a spot with finish loss on one of the two long stands (on the one of the long stands near the top - pictured)

Glass is in very good condition, minor use marks and scratches but no chips.

Lid is in good condition, some patina, minor wear and use marks.

All imperfections correspond with age. Please see pictures for more details as the pictures are main part of description.
