PORTFOLIO OF HARVARD GRADUATE AND ARCHITECT "OLIVIER ESCANDE DE MESSIERES" SPANNING FROM 1944 - 1976.  Included are diplomas, letters of recommendation, documentation of work projects, etc.

In his sophomore year at Harvard, Des Messieres was granted a leave of absence to return to his home country and join the "Fighting French Forces".  He eventually receives his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Harvard.  In 1959, he was accepted into the American Institute of Architects.  He worked abroad in Switzerland and Italy until 1964 when he returned to the United States.  He then receives a Master's Degree in Architecture from Harvard in 1970.  In the year, 1978, he is granted a license to practice architecture in the state of New York.  

Portfolio includes; diplomas, project architectural drawings, project photographs, prints, etc.  Album size is about 12-1/2" x 14-1/2" and contains 34 album pages with loosely inserted papers.  Condition: soiling and toning, occasional edge wear, creases and tears.  Please see scans for additional condition review.
