Gilded brass, 59.4 x 53.3 mm. Pin back construction. In excellent condition. The gilt finish is very well preserved and bright; has only tiny amount of wear to the high points of the obverse and some minor blemishes on the reverse. The pin attachment is fully functional.

Created to honor land reform ideas that occurred to beloved Leader Kim Il Sung after a trip to the countryside in March of 1946. This was apparently a rather high award judging by the fact that its quality is high compared with other contemporary DPRK decorations. Relatively few have been awarded.
