[Used] Martin / OM-42 2003 model

"It sounds great! OM-42 in good condition!"

This is OM-42 made in 2003. Although it has vintage decorations, it is a relatively new model released in 1999. It features a 15-inch wide body equivalent to the 000, and a 24.9-inch scale similar to the Dreadnought. The brace size is the same 1/4 inch as the D-35, but the top brace is scalloped. A wider neck has been adopted than at that time, and the actual nut width is approximately 45mm.
Other than a light scratch on the pickguard, a rice-grain-sized dent on the edge of the lower bulge on the back, and a capo-like scratch on the back of the neck, which are relatively easy to see, there are no scratches on the surface of the paint film or fading of the paint film. There is no noticeable damage, which you only notice when you hold it in your hand and stare at it. It maintains good appearance even though it has been manufactured for over 20 years.
The neck is in proper condition and the truss rod has been confirmed to operate up to 60 degrees left and right. There are no dents on the frets, and about 80% of the height remains, and the playability and sound are perfect.
Although it has a small body, it sounds loud and well. The bass comes out well without being too loud. It also gives you a sense of the overtones and luster of the sound, which is typical of a model in the 40s.
The OM is popular among fingerstyle enthusiasts, but this particular one can be enjoyed for lead play and flat picking. This is a recommended book that can be used for all purposes.
