- Amazing vintage archive of Ed McMahon ephemera and celebrity autographs from the estate of his 2nd wife, Victoria McMahon.
- Archive consists of 2 large 23.5" x 19.5" scrapbooks and a photo album.
- Scrapbooks contain personalized signed correspondents from ccelebrities such as: Frank Sinatra, Carol Burnett, Phyllis Diller, Johnny Carson, Erik Estrada, Jerry Lewis, Glenn Ford, Steve Garvey, Gary Owens, Joe Piscopo, Tony Randall, Henry Winkler, Robert Stack, Rock Hudson, Don Rickles, Polly Bergen, Janis Paige, and Robert Redford.
- Some highlights include a hand written thank you letter from Johnny Carson commemorating 20 years of the The Tonight Show, 2 letters from Frank Sinatra signed "Francis Albert", an invitation to Diana Ross's birthday party with included feather plume, a 1983 New Years card from Peter Max, and a hand written marriage proposal from Ed to Victoria.
- Most of the material in this archive is from 1981 to 1983 but also includes earlier photos and ephemera from Ed McMahon's early TV career and military career as a US Marine Corps pilot.
- Scrapbooks are packed full of newspaper clippings, invitations, holiday cards, thank you cards, and misc. ephemera from the who's who of early 1980's entertainment and politics. Too much material to photograph everything.
- Scrapbooks contain a combined 58 double sided pages of material. Almost all of the material is glued into the books, a few pieces have come loose.
- The photo album is family oriented with many candid photo's of Ed and Victoria's private life in the early 1980's. Photo's on a boat, with his shirt off sunbathing, of their daughter, with other friends and celebrities. Photo album has 49 double sided pages packed full of photos.
- Photo album and one scrapbook include photocopies of COA letters from the Victoria McMahon Family Trust. The letters are dated 2019 and mention that these items were offered for sale on eBay.
- We purchased this archive from a local estate liquidation auction and don't know how they came to be in possession of the previous owner. We were unable to find any records of these items being sold on eBay.
- Albums are nearly complete with only 2 items removed. We removed two hand-drawn Bob Mackie sketches that we are listing separately. Please see our other listings.
- Very clean as-found vintage condition with very light evidence of age and handling. Paper pages of the scrapbooks show minor tears and folds with one page no longer attached. All the material in the scrapbooks is glued to the pages and is in excellent condition. Sold as-is / as-found.
- Authenticity of origin and material guaranteed. We are unable to guarantee the authenticity of the signatures as some pieces may be auto-pen signed.
