This is a rare piece to find, by the Haitian Beadwoarx artisans. The Haitian Beadworx artisans have spent years mastering the street art craft, of bending and wrapping wire frames with glass beads to make whimsical folk art. There is much more to be read about this important group of artists, on the internet.

A wonderful, hard to find, beaded Mermaid, crafted in a swimming pose, with a hanger on the back, to hang from a ceiling, in front of a window, or on a wall. It measures a total length of 17", from head to tail, on the curve, x a total width across the tail of 4". It is made by bending and wrapping a wire frame with glass beads, making a whimsical piece of folk art.

This piece is great, with her wearing a white beaded necklace, a red beaded head band, holding her long red, crazy hair. Her hair is flexible, so it can be adjusted any way you want. She has a rigid piece of metal extending from her lower back, with two large beads and a loop, to hang by (shown).

Condition is excellent vintage, collectible, with no damage except a little dust. This is an unusual piece to find, that would be a great addition to any folk art or nautical collection, or showcased on it own, coming from a smoke free environment
