For sale here is this lovely pair of Chinese Famille Verte porcelain vases. The vases are hand-painted to the body in four large panels on a white ground. Two panels depict figural scenes of a family and the other two depict birds, flowers and trees. The necks are painted with two panels; one depicting boys in a mountainous landscape and one showing a lady at a window. They date from the 19th century.
The vases measure approximately 11 inches (28cm) high. One vase has a small chip on the base and one on the rim. The other vase has old restoration on the rim and neck, which was not well done and could be improved upon.
