Oregon Trail Monument Expedition Post Card Series #20 "A Typical Residence Portland, Oregon." Really sharp image of the mansion (typical residence!?) and Ezra Meeker and friends with the oxen and wagon. Note the signage on the wagon cover advertising postcards made to fund his journey. "This residence stands where dense forests stood in the then village of Portland, within a few hundred feet of where Ezra Meeker landed in 1852; now surrounded by stately residences and in close proximity to "Sky Scrapers" destined soon to banish it to more quiet regions." Ezra Meeker, the first Mayor of Puyallup WA, travelled the Oregon Trail many times and worked with President Roosevelt to get markers and monuments along the Oregon Trail.

Edge and corner wear consistent with an antique postcard.
