This is an antique, double page, chromolithograph print from a political magazine that was quite popular in its day, PUCK, and very popular among political cartoon collectors today. This series of PUCK cartoons are clever, beautifully illustrated and provide an historical picture of the state of politics in 1891.

Text: SPRING NONSENSE (See pictures for smaller text)

Artist: OPPER, signed in plate

Condition: EXCELLENT  —  Clear, clean, colorful and bright; no foxing, tears, creasing or folds (other than the centerfold), and very good margins, perfect for framing. A really beautiful image. Nice dark lines and definition. (Note: There are a few teeny pin holes in the centerfold; really tiny and barely visible. Binding holes are quite common for these prints, given they were almost always collected and stored in large books. See pictures.)

This print is about 125 years old and guaranteed to be original. It’s an authentic old color lithograph from the aforementioned publication, and not a modern reproduction.

The print is 13" x 20 1/2" with nice large margins.
This print is truly ready to be framed and preserved.
