SOUTH WALES WESTERN DIVISION PROVINCE
HOLY ROYAL ARCH
This message is aimed esecially at those of you who are interested in the history of the former Divisions of our Wales Provinces.  For the information of our newer brethren, not so long ago Wales was divided into the Provinces of North Wales, South Wales Eastern Division (SWED) and South Wales Western Division (SWWD).  The new divisions were established on 29th June 2009 at the Provincial Meeting during the term of Provincial Grand Master Capt Sir Norman Lloyd-Edwards. This was the first meeting under the new Banner of SOUTH WALES.  Hence we have now the present arrangement of North Wales, West Wales and South Wales Provinces.

During the eleven years of our recycling endeavours here at Bridgend we have received regular donations of regalia bearing the badge of the former Provincial Divisions. These badges have been removed so that the apron or gauntlet is prepared for the attachment of our own South Wales badge or the badge of whatever Province was that of our mail-order client.

We have been able to help many brethren where their original SWED SWWD badge or collar jewel had become damaged in some way with a suitable replacement. It is not always appreciated that a such a replacement is right and proper for those brethren who received their honour during the former era.

We carry a large selection of these older badges and jewels that are in excellent condition as replacements. We have some for Craft, Royal Arch and Mark.

Aside from the replacement aspect, we have over the years sold groups of these older badges that have been used as framed decorative displays in Lodge premises.  We have heard also that some have been mounted on slate or wooden circles and used as drinks coasters.
