Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a hand-painted studio pottery / stoneware lidded jar.  Dates back to the '70s.  Artist: John Deyoe, who was a student of Don Frith at the University of Illinois.  The inside of the lid is signed, and the bottom of the base is signed and dated (7/25/72) as well (see photos).  The surface of the body is glaze and ribbed, and there is a subtle design painted on it, as well as on the lid - it's basically the same clay color, so it is difficult to photograph.

NOTE: Please pardon any glare seen in the photographs as it was sunny when the pictures were taken.

Measurements:  Measures approx. 9" tall (with the lid on) or 7" tall (with the lid removed) x 4.5" wide (at its widest point). The round opening at the top measures approx. 4" in diameter (rim to opposite rim).

Condition:  Very good condition - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc.  The glaze shows some signs of light crazing as can be expected with age - nothing distracting whatsoever, but being mentioned for accuracy. Being sold "as-is", so please examine all of the accompanying photos - if you have any questions, we do encourage them prior to purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
