I bought this clock as part of a bundle at an auction and
it was properly stored by locking the pendulum and removing the battery. However,
the battery holder terminals are corroded and the movement will not run when
unlocked and jumper cables were attached to the cleaned wires.
I did continuity testing to determine that the thinly insulated
wires are not broken nor shorted in their way to the motor unit.
Because this is my first clock of this type (which I have
always wanted to add to my collection) I cannot speak from experience what might
be wrong. It is also branded as KIENINGER & OBERGFELL.
Also, based on photos of other clocks, I think that a
black plastic coveting on the base has been removed.
The glass dome is perfect. The movement looks very clean
and runs nicely with manual movement of the pendulum.
