Very rare original “Shearson Lehman Brother” Duffle bag from the 1980s. This bag represented a short lived marriage of the Lehman Brothers and Shearson (a stock brokerage and asset management) all under the umbrella of the parent company American Express. This merger lasted only 10 years after which Shearson was sold after they managed to lose $76 million dollars in one year. While they did not last very long this merger was a poetic foreshadowing of what Lehman Brothers would become during the 2008 housing crisis. A true American success story where you can continue to fail upwards until it all comes to a head in a glorious and memorable collapse. This bag measures in at 17x10x10 inches and is in fair condition. This bag is preowned and sports some wear and tare however for a piece over 40 years old it is still in good condition. The zipper is fully functional and the straps have no rips. Large and lots of pockets this piece of memorabilia is still fully functional and can be used on your daily commute.
