BIO: Albert Belle Cleveland Indians (1989–1996) Belle was one of the leading sluggers of his time, and in 1995 became the only player to ever hit 50 doubles and 50 home runs in a season. Mr. Belle finished his career with MLB Hall of Fame worthy states are 381 home runs, .295 batting average and 1,239 RBI’s. 5× All-Star (1993–1997), 5× Silver Slugger Award (1993–1996, 1998), 1995 AL home run leader, 3× AL RBI leader (1993, 1995, 1996) and Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame Inductee. Known until 1990 as Joey “Albert” Belle outfielder for the Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox, and Baltimore Orioles. He was also the first player to break the $10 million per year compensation contract in Major League Baseball. Belle was a five-time All-Star and Silver Slugger. He retired with a .295 career batting average, and averaged 37 home runs and 120 RBIs per season between 1991 and 2000. He is one of only six players in MLB history to have nine consecutive 100-RBI seasons. Belle later played for the Chicago White Sox (1997–1998) and Baltimore Orioles (1999–2000).
