This is a 2 way Japanese field telephone. It is not in pristine condition but is in good shape for its age. Slight surface rust corrosion on the top lid and latches, but lid and access panels open and close easily.

The wiring to the microphone and ear piece are somewhat hardened from age but not cracked. The internals are visible when the front access panel is opened and are dusty but still in good condition.

The wood appears to be cedar and has some scratches on the varnish but is intact with no serious damage.

The unit measures approximately 12 inches wide by 7 inches tall by 4 inches deep.  It weighs about 10 lbs.

The unit could easily be restored by an interested collector, but I have done nothing beyond a light dusting as I don't speak Japanese.
