Beautiful Antique Japanese Arita Imari set of four bowls featuring foliage type of design, decorated with underglaze blue and overglaze red and gold.

All bowls are marked. To the best of my knowledge, they are 19th century production, probably 1860-1890s, Meiji period.

Measure about 6” wide and 2” high. Some are just slightly under 6”.

Condition: firing imperfections; some wear to overglaze decorations; wear on the undersides and rims. Use related marks. No large chips or hairlines noted. Minor rough areas along the rims. Gilt wore off on the rims. Otherwise good antique condition.

PLEASE NOTE:

Please inspect pictures in my listings as they are part of the description. I do my best describing any imperfections I find, but in case I missed a defect, I post many pictures, so my customers can study objects closely before making a purchase. International customers – I am happy to work with international clients, but please be advised that there could be VAT import taxes and tariffs that maybe be due to you when your item arrives. These additional charges are based on an individual country import laws and regulations. eBay sellers have no control of it. It is always good to check with your country’s customs.

Because most of my items are extremely fragile, I use large size boxes with extra padding and most often double box. Shipping costs are based on these factors.
