Vintage ceramic tile trivet with a brass stand. This item features a common 'Dutch wisdom' phrase that translates: "In the concert of life, no one gets a program." Its handpainted floral patterns are also reminiscent of Delft Blue Folk art. GOOD CONDITION: The brass has some oxidation but is still in great working order (the small tabs at the base are adjustable, and the ceramic tile can be removed - please see photos for detail). The ceramic tile has some wear and only one major chip.
