TIGRAN TOKMAJYAN (1923-2004), is a well listed and an Honored Artist of Armenia, he is well known as an Armenian historic theme painter-artist (refer to Armenian Artists- A concise Dictionary, 1977, and Armenian history textbooks*Hye Joghovrdi Patmutyoun*, 1983), and participated in exhibitions since 1952. He also is known for his mural paintings in Yerevan-Armenia & in Allepo-Syria.Tokmadjyan taught art at the Terlemezyan Art College and at the Abovyan Pedagogical Institute, his painting *The Baptization of King Trdat* (Trdat Takavori Mkrtutionh)- which was at the 2001 exhibition dedicated to the 1700 years of Christianity as a state religion in Armenia- brought him the honorary title, and the painting was purchased by Etchmiadzin.

SAINT STEPHAN'S MONASTERY, 1980 by Tigran Tokmadjyan, is oil on canvas measures 100 x 75 cm,  almost 39 " x 29" . Signed and dated by the artist.
