It's time to return to duty some of the parts from my private collection. In 2005 I removed this leaping cat from a family member's new Jaguar X-Type after it was totaled in a rear end collision. 

This stunning hood ornament was on the Jag for just short of 8,000 miles. And while it is considered used, it's as close to being New Old Stock as one could get without calling it NOS.

The chrome cat is mint, with no "peppering" or scratches. I did, however, find extremely fine surface scratches on the base, possibly made during the plating process. The plastic nut is near perfect, with "02 XT" marked on a flat surface to help with identification. 

To find one in better condition is highly unlikely. This cat would feel at home on a serious show car or a daily driver. I urge you to use the Zoom feature to closely inspect the fine quality of this piece. Thank you for your time, Dennis.
