For sale is a lot of 4 books: "Batman: The Golden Age Omnibus - Volume 5," "Batman: The Golden Age Omnibus - Volume 7," "Batman: The Golden Age Omnibus - Volume 8," and "Batman: The Golden Age Omnibus - Volume 9." These hardcover omnibus collections continue the earliest Batman adventures, from the golden age of comics, spanning the late 1940s and into the mid 1950s. This lot contains some of the hardest volumes to find in a series that is out of print and incredibly rare, due to low print runs.

All of these books are from the first print runs of their editions. Each volume is brand new, unread, and in excellent conditions, with only very minor cosmetic blemishes from shelf wear (described below), and was stored in a smoke-free, pet-free environment. This is a great opportunity to nab the hardest-to-find books in the entire series in one go, rather than struggle to find them one at a time.

Batman: The Golden Age Omnibus - Volume 5: This hardcover omnibus collection continues the earliest Batman adventures, from the golden age of comics. Included are nearly 800 pages of never-before-collected stories from the late 1940s, including work from legendary artists Dick Sprang and Jerry Robinson and writing from Batman creator Bill Finger! The Dynamic Duo will defend Gotham City from iconic villains like the Joker,the Penguin, and Catwoman! This volume also includes the first origin story of the iconic giant Penny in the Bat-cave! Continuing on from where the old "DC Archive" hardcover editions left off, this volume collects "Batman" #36-45, "Detective Comics" #113-132, and "World's Finest Comics" #23-32.

Condition: Brand new and unread, with only minor shelf wear along the rim of the dust jacket from where it sat on the comic book store's shelf. There is a slight impression on the dust jacket along the upper left edge of the front cover, from where it was naturally pressed against the book's cover hinge underneath, but this does not reflect any defect on the book or cover board itself, and the impression itself can easily be removed with a bit of weight and time. The binding is strong, tight, and intact, and the interior is pristine, with no missing or loose pages, no rips or tears, and crisp, unfaded white pages with strong, bold coloring. Batman: The Golden Age Omnibus - Volume 7: This hardcover omnibus collection continues the earliest Batman adventures, from the golden age of comics. Included are more than 800 pages of never-before-collected stories from the early 1950s, including work from legendary artist Dick Sprang and writing from Batman creator Bill Finger! The Dynamic Duo will defend Gotham City from iconic villains like the Joker, the Penguin, and Catwoman, and uncover the original Red Hood's true identity - the Joker! This volume also includes the first appearance of villains like Deadshot and Killer Moth! All in all, this volume collects "Batman" #56-66, "Detective Comics" #154-173, and "World's Finest Comics" #43-53.

SHIPPING and OTHER TERMS

Per Ebay rules, payment is expected within 4 days of the auction end, and I will ship within 3 business days of receiving payment - if payment is received by early evening, usually most items will ship the next business day (including Saturdays). Free shipping will be done via Media Mail in the lower 48 states. Customers from other states (or countries) can inquire for a shipping quote, but it will be more expensive.

If a delivery cannot be made by the post office and the item is automatically returned by mail, I am willing to attempt a second shipment - however, the buyer will have to pay for the actual shipping cost of this second attempt (even if the first delivery was made via a "Free Shipping" option or a combined shipping discount was applied for the initial shipment).

If an item is damaged in transit or does not otherwise match the original item description, I will provide a full refund - customer satisfaction is important to me. However, all items should be returned in the condition in which they were received. For example, if an item is sent sealed in the original shrink-wrap, it should be returned still sealed in the original shrink-wrap (guaranteeing the item was damaged in shipment and not after receipt).

Items returned for reasons other than damage not mentioned in the listing (i.e., mistaken ordering, etc.) must also be sent in the condition in which they were received, and buyers will be assessed a $10 restocking fee per book.

I am only interested in transactions with pleasant buyers who are purchasing and operating on Ebay in good faith. To that end, I will cancel any order from any problematic buyers or buyers with red flags. Red flags include:
  • Large amounts of negative feedback from prior transactions
  • High-value purchases from a brand new account without a transaction history
  • Leaving negative feedback for invalid reasons (such as blaming sellers for USPS shipping delays that are out of their hands)
  • Higher-than-average amount of negative feedback left for others
More than 99% of my interactions on Ebay, as both a buyer and a seller, have been positive.
