A lightweight semi-acoustic bass that follows the teardrop design that is synonymous with VOX bass guitars. The semi-hollow structure combines a hollow body carved from solid mahogany with a maple top to suppress howling while producing a boxy sound.
The neck uses a five-layer structure of three layers of maple and two layers of walnut, creating a narrow yet strong neck.
The pickup uses Alnico material and is equipped with VOX's original bass pickup, which has a vintage feel but has the power and sound to be compatible with the modern music scene. , designed exclusively for the VBW series.
The pickguard, control panel, and pickup escutcheon are still made of chrome-plated metal.
The VBW-3500 uses flame maple for the top of the body. Painted finish that takes advantage of wood grain and wooden binding specifications. Two color variations are available: Blue Burst, which highlights the flame maple wood grain, and traditional Sunburst.
