PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Here's a fine French system bassoon by Triebert, one of the most important French makers of woodwinds. This instrument dates to the early 19th century and is ideal for the performance of works from that period. Instrument is in generally good condition with no cracks, but will need pad work to be playable.

Provenance: The Historic Collection. This is from the collection of a well-known researcher and historian of woodwinds who spent a lifetime collecting rare and unique instruments. We are privileged to offer items from this collection for sale.

As this instrument is historically interesting we have chosen to not do restoration work on it and leave that to the eventual owner.
