This is a scarce vintage postcard featuring "A fortune in an old straw hat, the New Hampshire McNeills Black-Silver Fox Farm, Penacook N.H." This shows a farm worker holding four kits in a straw hat - worth around $7,000 in today's dollars. Security was high at a fox ranch, where breeding these animals brought huge amounts of money for their fur prior to the depression. This particular ranch was "always open to visitors".
