We are pleased to offer this gorgeous vase manufactured by the Royal Crown Pottery of Merry Oaks, North Carolina.
Glazed in a mottled, matte brown, this double handled vase was hand-turned. It stands about 9 1/4" tall and measures 5" in diameter at the rim. It is marked on the bottom with the round Royal Crown Handmade Pottery inkstamp. The base of the vase features five large, thick, rings. The handles begin just under the rim edge and insert into the shoulders of the vase just above the first ring.
It is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips or cracks.

Royal Crown pieces are really difficult to find; but, when you do find one, you can expect the very best the South had to offer. This pottery was only in operation for about three years from 1939 to 1942. However, in that time, the pottery hired accomplished local potters to produce their wares. Their pots were of exceptional quality in terms of their physical appearance and their glazes were spectacular. This vase is no exception.
