During WWII the US Army employed a number of civilian vehicles as military staff cars. The Ford Fordor sedan was ideal for this purpose. At 4.9m long it was powered by a 90 bhp 6-cylinder 3.7litre engine and was produced between February 1942 until June 1945.

As a result of rationing, the military version of the model 1942 was produced without chrome trim although this was a feature of the civilian version. The staff car was used for high ranking officers and for transporting aviators.

This kits decals allows for a military version or a civilian police vehicle.

 

Whether for wargaming or just building for display this brand new kit is a classic. Not to be missed.
