Antique - Cast Iron Horse Standing - Coin Piggy Bank- Metal- not sure of the date


These cast iron bank of horse standing on all fours with a long tail going down to the hooves. 


To tell if a cast iron bank is real or a reproduction, examine the hardware used to hold it together. Original banks usually feature flathead screws, while modern reproductions tend to have Phillips-head hardware. - ****this one has a FLATHEAD screw- this is an original cast iron bank.

The bank is original yet worn aged patina. 


The bank has on one side the original flathead screw used to open it.


The bank: Measures about 5" from nose to tail, stands about 4 1/4" at tallest point.


This item is in vintage condition, and somewhat heavy.
