Adopts the well-established "M.I.S. (Mechanical Isolation System)" structure
Like the previous Force bar series, the body consists of 3 parts: TOP cover, BOTTOM chassis, and subchassis.
All parts from the inlet to the outlet are mounted on the sub-chassis and are suspended (suspended) from the exterior case (TOP cover, BOTTOM chassis) to attenuate unnecessary external vibrations that can affect the power strip.
Conventionally, a titanium spacer was used at the joint between the TOP cover and the subchassis, but Crystal 3.1 and 6.1 use a damping alloy: M2052*1 spacer ( Adopts non-magnetic material. The damping of unnecessary vibrations has been improved to a higher level.
Body material with increased rigidity and robustness
The body consists of three parts, and compared to the Force bar series, the TOP cover has been changed from steel to aluminum, and the BOTTOM chassis and subchassis have been changed from aluminum to steel.
As a result, the weight of both Crystal3.1/6.1 has been increased by approximately 20% (Crystal3.1: 550g⇒665g), (Crystal6.1: 907g⇒1080g).
In addition, the BOTTOM chassis, which is directly affected by vibrations from the floor (installation surface), has not only changed the material mentioned above, but also has been strengthened from 1.6mm to 2.0mm in thickness, and has excellent shock and vibration absorption properties. The original molded Hanenite (made of inner and outer rubber) has been replaced with a vibration absorbing sheet made by TAOC.
These not only further improve the vibration suppression effect of M.I.S., but also increase the rigidity of the entire body, greatly contributing to a sense of stability and high sound quality when setting.
Internal wiring material
The wiring material for the power line has been changed from 4N oxygen-free copper to 1.6mm tin-plated, while inheriting the single-wire material that actively utilizes the skin effect. Straight wiring is used to ensure loss-free transmission from input to output. Even in the soldering of each part, we carefully examine and select products containing special ingredients, and our own specially selected meisters use highly skilled techniques to perform the work.
High usability
Crystal 6.1 is a model that can provide an efficient number of outlets for heavy users with complex system configurations and many audio equipment, and is equipped with six 3P outlets and one 2P outlet with a grounding terminal.
AC adapters come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and insertion directions, and they have had disadvantages such as blocking adjacent outlets, but by ensuring the installation direction of the outlets and appropriate distance, it is possible to use large AC adapters. In addition, the compact and slim body that meets user needs is extremely advantageous for accessories installed at the back of a narrow audio system, making it possible to tidy up the wiring around the power supply.
The ground terminal, which is not familiar to other manufacturers' power strips, is connected to the internal wiring ground line and the exterior case, and can be used with 2P outlets as a connection point for the ground wired outlet plug found in power cables such as analog players. It works effectively by doing so.
Unique concatenation feature
Crystal3.1/6.1 has a unique connection function similar to the Force bar series. Since the inlets are unified to the international standard: IEC60320 C14, it is possible to connect and expand the Crystal series, and it is also possible to connect with the Force bar series, although the body size and weight have changed. The Crystal series also plans to introduce power strips with a wide variety of functions, making it possible to build a highly expandable power strip system that matches each individual audio system. In addition, when connecting Crystal series products, a special connection plate is prepared to improve the connection, and it can firmly prevent wobbling or rattling at the mating part and secure it.
Dedicated connection plates cannot be used for Crystal series + Force bar series.
design
Crystal3.1/6.1 (Crystal series) was designed with the concept of clarity and delicacy as its name suggests.
The black tone, which was the rugged and sturdy image of the Force bar series, has been changed to a silver tone, and the top cover has been given a white alumite finish to give it a high-quality texture.
The BOTTOM chassis and subchassis are also unified in silver color. In particular, the bending method for the BOTTOM chassis has been changed, creating a sense of unity with the TOP cover. The product model name placed on the top cover has also been made into thinner lines to exude delicacy and accuracy, making it modern and stylish. The window frame through which the outlet and inlet can be seen is designed and manufactured using a special cutting die used in the chassis processing process. By changing from the conventional square windows to round windows, which are one size larger, we have also created a glimpse of the mechanism of M.I.S.
