Beautiful, fully serviced 1969 #741 Accutron 2181 Watch. The case is in very good condition with normal wear. Crystal looks good, shows some wear... it is the original crystal and not a replacement. The dial and hands look good, minimal wear. Bracelet and back show wear. Speidel bracelet installed. This watch was fully disassembled, ultrasonic cleaned, oiled, phased for modern 1.55v batteries and regulated within -/+2 seconds per day.

I service & repair Tuning Fork Accutron watches. The highest quality & Accutron recommended synthetic oils and lubricants are used including Moebius 9020, 9104, and 8201. A professional vibrograf tuning fork watch timing machine is used to regulate watches. Expect the watch to gain 2-4 seconds per day when worn, because when in the fork down position gravity will slightly increase the fork frequency. Phasing (microadjustment of index and pawl finger positioning for ultra precise timekeeping) is accomplished using a vintage Accutron Watchmaster test set and variable power supply to incrementally increase the voltage and make super fine adjustments to allow the watch to run normally on 1.55v batteries. These watches were made for 1.35v batteries which are no longer available, however most Accutrons can be phased to run just fine on modern batteries. A small percentage of Accutrons can't be phased for modern batteries because they have forks less tolerant of higher voltages, resulting in higher amplitude. Most of my accutrons for sale are phased for modern batteries, occasionally I will decide that an accucell (a special battery made for accutrons to run at a lower voltage) or a diode is more appropriate, but regardless I will mention it in the description. I really love Accutrons and I believe they're the best watches ever made. My goal is for Accutrons to be continued to be worn and loved for decades to come.
