Daniel Webster was a famous congressman from NH and MA. See his web pages for the details of his personal life and public office actions. He was also a famous orator, lawyer and served as Secretary of State under four presidents.

The Liberty Ship named for him was a 441 foot cargo ship was built in So. Portland, Maine in 1944 by the New England Shipbuilding Corp.
