The Zeiss Telefort 12x model was made during the period from 1907 to 1914 during which a number of variants were introduced. With a serial number of 262228 and the distinctive double rings around the short objective tubes, this set would have been made early in the period. This particular set are in very good original condition. Although having typical paint wear, the raised solder filled inscriptions remain very clear. The ‘leather’ covering is excellent with no chips or pieces missing. The eye cups are original and undamaged. Both oculars focus smoothly. The lenses and prisms are undamaged, clean, and clear, providing very good 12x viewing. The binoculars are fitted with a black leather strap. They also come with a very good black leather, Zeiss marked, case.
