For Sale: Antique Hope Bros London Black Silk Top Hat Sz 7 SLIGHT FAULTS CLEARANCE No returns

I understand that Silk Top Hats ceased being made in 1956 due to the closure of a factory in France that produced this special type of silk, making good examples increasingly scarce.

The Hat is marked for & fits size 7 head and stands 5½” high. The hole for your head is 7¾” at widest, 6½” at narrowest & 22”  around inner circumference.

Exterior: The hat is in good condition with a very slight area of under brim wear, see photos, 1½” black material band around it.

Interior: Is silk lined, with leather inner band and is in good condition, Inside the hat is marked “Hope Bros, 46 Ludgate Hill, London.”

Would suit collector or Ascot racegoer alike providing more of a talking point than a modern reproduction!

This hat is in good overall condition & will make an investment now & for the future. (154)
