AVENTURINE GEMSTONES:
Aventurine is a silicate gemstone that comes in many colors, depending on its impurities. It belongs to two mineral classes: quartz and feldspar. Aventurine was named after the Italian word “a Ventura”, which means “by chance”. It is commonly carved into figurines, monuments, sculptures, beads, and cabochons for jewelry.
Aventurine can be orange, yellow, red, pink, purple, white, brown, and gray, but the most popular shade is green. Green Aventurine is a product of tiny Fuchsite particles, whereas Red Aventurine’s color comes from tiny inclusions of Hematite. The most important deposits of Green Aventurine come out of southern India. Aventurine is found in Europe, Chile, Tanzania, Brazil and across northern Asia (including China, Nepal, Tibet and Russia).
Aventurine is believed to be a positive stone of prosperity, diffusing negative emotions, reinforcing leadership, promoting compassion and encouraging perseverance. It is a stone used to promote open-mindedness and the ability to see alternatives and possibilities, which is why it is considered a lucky stone for gamblers!
Green aventurine is known as “the stone of opportunity.” It is considered the luckiest of all of the crystals, bringing good fortune in many different forms, whether it’s financial luck, luck with relationships, or simply luck in anything one does.
Aventurine is also known to aid in breaking unhealthy patterns and habits, encouraging growth and change. It brings optimism, creativity, confidence, and motivation. It also helps those who are overcome with obstacles in life, persevere, and get through the hurdles. It is known to have soothing vibrations for the mind and body.
