This lot of five Star Weekly magazines from 1939-1953 is a must-have for any history or entertainment enthusiast. Each magazine is a first edition and features captivating photography and articles on a variety of subjects such as Canadian and international entertainment events, as well as historical events and figures. These five magazines are very collectible and for 75+ years old are in good condition.  The October 13, 1951 issue has a corner torn off, and the corner is included.  The October  20, 1951 issue has no back page.  These damages are shown in the photos attached .


Winnipeg model, Dorothea Davis  marries NHL New York Ranger Frederick Murray "Muzz" Patrick (June 28, 1915 – July 27, 1998) was a Canadian ice hockey player, coach, and general manager. He played in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers from 1938 to 1941, and then from 1945 to 1946. He was general manager of the Rangers from 1955 to 1964, serving as coach on three separate occasions during that time. As a player Patrick won the Stanley Cup with the Rangers in 1940.
