Author Biography

Dale Sherman began writing about rock music in small-press popular culture publications fresh out of high-school back in the early 1980s. With his background in reviewing theatrical bands, Dale moved on to write a best-selling book about KISS in 1997, "Black Diamond: The Unauthorized Biography of Kiss". This led to a reference guide follow-up, "Black Diamond 2" within the year. 1999 saw the release of the acclaimed "Illustrated Collector's Guide to Alice Cooper", which first pressings obtained collector's prices itself in later years. The acclaim for both "Black Diamond" and "Illustrated Collector's Guide to Alice Cooper" has led to new "Tenth Anniversary" editions in 2008-2009. Dale expanded his output with subsequent books on such diverse musical subjects as the most influential women in rock music, "20th Century Rock: Women in Rock", and a humorous book about the amazing false legends of rock with "Urban Legends of Rock n' Roll: You Never Can Tell". In addition, a musical charity novel called "A World Without Heroes" earned over $10,000 for charities in early 2000. Besides his numerous books, Dale has reviewed several television programs for the website and was the full-time official website reviewer for Ohio Valley Wrestling; at the time the training-ground for WWE; from 2001-2007. Dale has a MBA from the University of Louisville and currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife and too many pets while working on another novel amongst oth
