Patented Antique Advertising Thread Cutter

English * Early 1900s

This clever little thread cutter still works. It was an advertising piece for Brito Margarine, part of the English Margarine Works, Ltd. (Circa 1913-1920). The back says "Nikki" String Cutter - Newell's Patent". It is made of aluminum with steel blades inside. It has screws, I'm assuming so the blades inside could be changed. The condition is excellent and it measures 1 7/8" in diameter.

I stand behind everything that I offer and guarantee that it is exactly as presented.
