                         Lovely Antique Silver American Waltham  Pocket Watch. 7Jewel.

The case is a sterling silver open face. Birmingham hallmarks for 1895 and Alfred Bedford (Waltham) makers mark. It is in lovely condition, there is an evenly distributed pocket wear and some small age related marks. The hinges are firm and not stressed. The lids open and close correctly.  The bow is a good fit on the pendent. The front bezel has a bevel edged crystal in good condition. The watch is key wind at the rear and key set at the front on the main spindle square, working correctly.  

The 7 jewel movement is signed for Am. Watch Co. Waltham.  Mass.   The serial number 6608189  lists it as the model 1883,  size 18, Broadway grade,  7 jewels and was built in 1895.    The watch is winding smoothly, setting correctly and is running well.  It is in a nice clean condition.  The key is with it. The movement is very clean having been serviced around 12 months ago.

The  white enamel dial is in a excellent cosmetic condition. No major damage just a short fine hairline by the three mark.  The hands are whip and spade gold gilt with Roman numerals.    

Please remember this is circa 129 years old, a quality antique working timepiece.
