This folk art piece  features bright green eagle with two bright yellow flowers.   Retains portions of anold paper label on the back and details this piece was made by the Huichol Indians.  16" wide x12" tall.  Overall excellent condition   Signed back side lower edge "D. Martin".

Huichol paintings are made with beeswax spread on wood, then left to warm in the sun. The artist then scratches his design into the wax with a sharpened stick. The lines of the drawing are then filled in by patiently twisting and coiling colored yarns
