Absolutely stunning vintage ex-theatre costume / bodysuit! This heavily beaded bodysuit is in need of some TLC but it's so beautiful and deserves to be treasured!
Made from a shimmering blue material covered in a delicate layer of organza, this piece is covered in white and silver glass beads in beautiful geometric designs, with clear sequins for extra sparkle. The neckline is decorated with droplets of hanging glass beads, as is the front of the crotch and all under the arms for added movement and making this bodysuit catch the light at every turn. It's pretty heavy and and so is quite structured and lined with thick cotton and calico and has open vents under the arms to allow for full movement. The long sleeves have zippers at the cuffs for ease and the whole thing fastens with a centre back zipper. I don't know when this was made but its 100% vintage and at least a few decades old by the looks of it.

This piece is vintage and has clearly been worn many times. It's delicate in many areas and is in need some some TLC. I have photographed this as much as I could and will outline some areas to be aware of!
*Hanging beads at the neckline are missing on the right hand side
*Patches of loose or missing beads and loose threads
*Hole on the right shoulder seam that needs stitching up
*Patches on the inside
*Discolouration and stains to the lining, underarms and neckline
*Some areas of binding on the seams are wearing away or coming off on the inside

Essentially, there are various things that need some attention if you plan on wearing this for a performance or anything particularly active. Otherwise this piece is still wearable for more 'delicate' activities such as photoshoots, or for display etc where is doesn't matter so much if there are some imperfections. I hope this makes sense!

Measurements are approximately as follows:
