Vintage Mid-Century Modern Toshiba TCQ-150 Teak Wall Clock, 70s Sunburst era. Very large clock at 31.5cm square (12.25"), depth 70mm (2.75"). This is technically a wall clock though it is so deep it could be freestanding on a mantle or sideboard etc. Second hand sweeps rather than ticks and the movement is virtually silent unlike similar Kienzle or Metamec clocks from that era which have a loud crunch with each tick. Powered by two C cell batteries this will probably run for years without needing changing! Face is a champagne coloured aluminium with printed face and the brand TOSHIBA  and QUARTZ with MADE IN JAPAN in small letters at the bottom. I've had these batteries in for 24hrs and it is keeping perfect time, I will include the batteries in the sale so it is ready to go! Condition: Face on the clock is perfect with no marks, glass is perfect and free from any scratches. Teak frame has some very small marks but nothing serious (see photos). Bottom of the clock has some slight wear but I reckon a wipe over with some teak oil or similar would cover them. The only fault I can find is the right hand battery compartment has had a repair of some kind with black tape (difficult to photograph) but this doesn't affect it working and is hidden so I don't really see it as an issue. Item will be well packed and despatched quickly via Royal Mail 48hr parcel post. Due to size and weight it will have to be sent medium parcel size hence the postage costs. Good luck!
