BARBIE vtg pink adjustable Roller Skates 1998 Inline Skates size 6-12
This is a pair of previously-owned, pink, plastic adjustable roller skates with the image of Barbie on the front. Manufactured by Mattel in 1998, they are in good working order. Of note, the skates adjust from 4-wheel roller skates to 4-wheel inline skates and fit sizes 6-12 (also adjustable).
Barbie is the figurehead of a brand of Mattel dolls and accessories that was launched in March 1959 and includes other family members and collectible dolls. The line has been an important part of the toy fashion doll market for fifty years and been the subject of numerous controversies and lawsuits, often involving parody of the doll and her lifestyle. American businesswoman Ruth Handler (1916–2002) is credited with the creation of the doll using a German doll called Bild Lilli as her inspiration.
